The Carpenters Daughter

From humble beginnings in the San Juan Islands, I grew up in a home my dad—an skilled finish carpenter—built with his own hands. Whether I was pegging hardwood floors or sitting beside him on the roof during yet another home addition, I saw firsthand that construction was more than a trade—it was an art form. And my dad? A true perfectionist.

At 23, I bought my first home. The reality of homeownership hit fast: it was expensive, demanded tools and skills I didn’t yet have, and required an endless amount of persistence. After digging an 8-foot trench to repair the foundation, most people would’ve tapped out. But I leaned in. One DIY project led to the next—and soon, I found myself waiting for the sun to rise so I could dive into whatever project came next.

By 2014, my husband and I had moved to Ravensdale, WA. Four homes later, my love for remodeling, design, and creating inviting spaces was undeniable. I didn’t start out as an expert, but I had something even more powerful: vision, tenacity, and an unwavering passion for bringing ideas to life. I learned from every mistake, every misstep, and every moment in between. My humble beginnings have always reminded me that everyone starts somewhere—and it’s in those imperfect starts that we grow, mature, and sharpen our skill set.

For me, each project isn’t just about the finished space; it’s about the journey of becoming better with every nail, brushstroke, and bold idea.

After the passing of my Dad in 2017 and the birth of my son in 2020, I took some years to just “mom”. In 2024, I was ready to get back to houses and Newcastle was my first in quite a few years after putting my hammer down.

I have a creative eye for reimagining interiors, transforming landscapes, and breathing new life into any space. Whether it’s a full remodel, a quick flip, or prepping a property for sale, I bring heart, hustle, and a whole lot of “try” to every project I touch.
